List Building With Giveaway Events

Filed Under (List Building) by Paul on 20-07-2009

Using giveaway events as a list building tool is a great way and proven method to build a big list very quickly.

List building is one of the things that new marketers are often slow to do, but once you get started and see that it isn’t that difficult to do. Sure it takes some work and is something that you need to be constantly attending to, but once you are achieving a good conversion rate you can set it to run on autopilot.

If you want to be successful running your online business, you absolutely must have your own list of subscribers. There is no better method at the moment than using giveaway events. You can get hundreds of subscribers on your list in a metter of days. There are giveaway events happening every week.

So, exactly how do you go about getting subscribers from these events

Sign up as a partner or contributor to a giveaway event. These can last for a week or more, but two weeks is the norm.

Find a gift or create one of your own you can give away, this could be a report, software, audio, video etc.

Create a squeeze page for your gift, if you don’t have your own hosting you can get a page hosted at Instant Squeeze Page Maker, they also have products you can give away to build your list.

Create a new list in your autoresponder for your product, and load a series of messages. You need to have at least seven messages in your series and these should contain a mix of useful information, more free products such as memberships you are allowed to give away for free that will help your subscriber and promote your own paid product or a product/program you are an affiliate for.

Submit your gift you have prepared and have the rights to give away for free. You will need the url of your squeeze page and download page, a contact email address, the title of your gift, a graphic and a short and enticing description of 150 – 250 words about your product – think benefits here, why they should sign up for your gift.

Promote the event, all contributors are expected to promote the event. Send an email message to your own list if you have one, use Traffic Exchanges to promote the sign-up page through the link you will find inside the giveaway website, send an email to any Safelists you are a member of. You need to get people signing up under you to keep your gift showing to the members, alternatively you can usually upgrade which will give you enough points to keep your gift showing for the duration of the event. Upgrading may also allow you to enter more than one product to giveaway and sometimes allows you to put special offers into rotation which are shown to members when they login. You will share a percentage of these sales with the giveaway owner, although several events now offer 100% commissions. You can also earn commissions if members you refer upgrade their accounts.

Follow up with your new subscribers to build trust and a relationship and watch your list grow.

If you can keep promoting your gift in a giveaway events constantly it won’t be long before you have a list of thousands. You only need a couple of free gifts to giveaway, you can enter them alternately into events, so you are not showing the same product over and over again. Keep a seperate list for each product.

Some of the biggest names in internet marketing use the simple method of giveaway events to build their lists, and so should you.

The Number One Reason Why You Need To Build A List

Filed Under (List Building) by Paul on 20-06-2009

Why is list building so important for your business?

You want to make sales but more importantly you want to make repeat sales.

Potential customers visit your website, if you give them the option of purchasing or leaving, most people will leave. Building a list will give you the chance to get them back to your site, it is said that people need to see an offer seven times before they purchase, of course some will take less views and some will take more and some will never buy.

Building a list involves capturing the contact details of your visitors to build your subscriber list, offer an incentive such as a subscription to your newsletter, offer discounts and special offers in your newsletter or entice them to sign up for your list with an offer of free instant access to a valuable gift you are offering.

Use an opt-in form on your site or send them to a squeeze page so your visitors can sign up and grab your gift. This stops visitors just wandering off to another web page without taking any action and possibly never returning.

Once you have them on your list you need to start building a relationship with your subscribers, what better way to start than to give them something of value. You can automate this with the use of an autoresponder by preloading it with your messages. Once you have it set up all your messages are sent out at times you pre-determine when you load in your messages.

Keeping in touch with your contacts lets you promote your products or affiliate products and also gives you the opportunity to make more sales in the future. Even if someone doesn’t purchase your first offer, because they are on your list you can continue to offer other products and services to them in the future.

By building your list you will increase your bottom line, the generation and development of a list of customers is important for your business because it will allow you to promote and sell your products and services without having to attract new visitors to your offers everytime..

Email Marketing and Opt-In List Building

Filed Under (List Building, Marketing) by Paul on 14-06-2009

Since the advent of the information super highway, the Internet had been a valuable asset to the majority of marketers. By using the internet, there are many ways to earn more money without having to spend additional money to build your business.

These days many more marketers are realizing the importance of email marketing on the internet. Through emails, an online businesses can market their products directly to their customers.

The main purpose of email marketing is to reach your target market as quickly and as direct as possible. This will allow you to reach your target market to promote your products and services that will be of benefit to your target market.

Some marketers make use of email marketing in order to stay in contact with their customers.

The main reason that email marketing has grown so rapidly is because people in the online community are always looking for information. They subscribe for more information in the topic that they are interested in.

On the other hand, not everyone is willing to subscribe to such information. They may be interested on your products once but may not be interested to buy again. Moreover, when you continue to send those emails that do not have their permissions, you can be accused of spamming.

Today, spamming is a serious offense especially in the world of information technology. Most authorities regard the privacy of each person as valuable and they continue to uphold this thinking even on the Internet. You can be fined $11,000 for each spam email you send, so be warned.

Because of this, the creation of opt-in list building has gained acceptance, because of its viability and feasibility to most online marketers. A lot of people have realized how important opt-in lists are in email marketing.

Opt-in lists refer to the list of email addresses of people who have agreed to subscribe to your mailing list. In this way, you can freely send emails that entail promotions, information, new product announcements, and every facet of your marketing campaign.

When building your opt-in list, you not only increase the probability of being successful in email marketing but also boost your sales and profits as well. This is because building an opt-in list will allow you to remain in contact with your customers by getting their email address.

In this way, you can continue to promote your products and services in which they are interested in because they have opted to subscribe to your mailing list. Hence, whatever it is that you feed them, chances are, they will most likely respond positively.

In reality, building an opt-in list is actually letting the people realize the charisma and magic of email marketing. In this way, spams will be avoided, if not eliminated, and will not ruin the positive image of email marketing.

With spamming, email marketing becomes a disgraceful activity in the Internet. But with an opt-in list, you can continue to boost your business through email marketing without having to worry about being accused of spamming.

In building an opt-in list, there are two types to be considered. The first one is the single opt-in and the other one is the double opt-in or confirmed opt-in.

In building single opt-in list, online businesses would simply use a “sign-up tag” in their web sites so that every time a person visits their website, he or she can opt to subscribe into the business’ email list.

On the other hand, a confirmed opt-in list or double opt-in entails a confirmation message after the subscriber has subscribed to your website’s email list.

Normally, the confirmation takes place by replying on a system-generated message via an autoresponder that asks for the subscriber to confirm their subscription by clicking on a link that is contained in the confirmation email.

Whatever type of opt-in list you prefer, each has its own pros and cons when it comes to email marketing. But both are designed to give your online business the best solution possible in order to generate emails and permissions without having to get into trouble.

Email marketing can be such a profitable business, but it would not be complete and will never succeed without the opt-in lists. These two go hand-in-hand in order to be successful in the world of Internet marketing.

List Building – Building And Managing Your Opt-in List

Filed Under (List Building) by Paul on 07-06-2009

Building and managing an opt-in list for a website provides a marketer direct access to a huge amount of likely customers. Building and managing an opt in list lets you take advantage of a system that makes it possible for website visitors to fill in an online form to sign up for the latest products and services offered by your site.

Building and managing an opt in list is commonly undertaken by many sites on the Internet to maximize their profile on the web. Building and managing an opt in list is also an established marketing formula that a lot of business websites use over and over to keep loyal visitors updated on the most recent products available from their favorite online marketers.

Building and managing an opt in list is also useful for websites that cater for news, technology and various forms of information on varying topic matters. People that sign up to their favored website’s opt-in list can receive updates on products and services provided by the site. Additionally the subscriber gains access to the site’s regular ezine or newsletter.

The opt-in mailing list provided by a website is not spam, it is a legitimate sign up program for individuals interested in a website’s products and services. No one is included in the opt-in mailing list without prior consent.

Gathering email addresses for building and managing an opt in list

A quantity of free list management services are available on the Internet to gather email addresses for a website’s opt-in list. Nevertheless many of these free list services cannot be personalized to suit a specific site and often put an advertizement at the top of the messages. In addition, the free service list has the option of shutting down a website’s list at whatever time they choose to do so.

A better method for building and managing an opt in list begins with a good script for form processing. The script allows a subscriber to fill in a form and send it in to a specific address. The information is then processed and included in a database file.  After that, the system can send a personalized reply to the subscriber to thank them for their subscription to the site.

The online form to be filled up by a customer can also be customized to fit the format of a specific site. There are a number of websites that offer form-processing scripts, generally the cost of a good script is reasonable.

A pop email account should be created on the website’s server in order to accommodate the influx of subscription requests. Email templates will also make the process of dealing with subscription requests easier and faster. This will include an email template for subscription requests and possible requests from subscribers that want to unsubscribe from the opt-in list. The option to unsubscribe helps build trust between the site visitor and the website owner.

Building and managing an opt in list database

Creating a database is crucial in building and managing an opt-in list for a website. There are a number of database programs available on the Internet that can help process the information sent in for subscriptions. Once the database is set up, a mailing list needs to be generated. This process is essential to building and managing an opt list that will continually process subscription requests from your site visitors.

A database program will automatically enable a website to attend to all the details required in building and managing an opt in list. Together with, easy access to a subscriber’s personal information allows a site owner to send personalized messages to a specific subscriber at any time.

Building and managing an opt-in list subscriber base

Websites can employ a number of techniques for building and managing an opt-in list of subscribers. Providing incentives are a great approach for building and managing an opt in list. Offering a free gift as well as providing free services with each subscription is a great method for building and managing an opt-in list. Online contests are also a very popular way of getting people to join an opt-in list. Additionally, prizes that are related to the website’s content also help generate interest in the other products and services offered by the site.

Remember, building and managing an opt in list is the ideal and simplest option to increase website traffic.
