Hosting your blog on your domain means that you have control and can develop and promote your own brand using your blog. Setting up a wordpress blog takes 5 – 10 minutes.

You can set it up in the root of your domain, as a sub-domain or in a folder. I have two blogs, my list and traffic blog and my niche blog, one is in the root and the other is in a folder. If I were going to set up another blog I would have it in the root or as a sub-domain. The reason I would consider a sub-domain is because it would allow me to use my main keyword(s), such as
www.KEYWORD.MYDOMAINNAME.com

You can make your blog headings similar to your website. In terms of search engine optimization (SEO) and advertising, this is very important because you will be advertising and optimizing your own domain and branding yourself.
